Today, I am longing to reach the top,
I want to summit,
I feel like getting to the higher ground.
I sense there is a mountain waiting,
Destined to take me higher and touch the roof of the world.
Today, I have set my foot at the base,
and I will not relent until I reach the top.
For in my mind I am already there,
touching the sky from the peak.
But I must get the feet to start moving.
How easy it is to achieve anything,
When we are willing to work for it,
Setting time aside a little every day,
To carry out the mundane tasks that prepare us,
To attain the greater good, the grand vision.
Today, I am willing to work for it,
To use what is before me now,
Instead of just longing for what is yet hidden.
For I know deep within me,
this will lead me to the mountain top hidden in the clouds.
